This quaint, well presented cafe and cake shop nestled away in one of Old Riga's charming side streets is by far one of our favourite spots to take a coffee and treat ourselves to one (or more) of their amazing cakes.
Here at this cafe, our team of guides top on on coffee between tours to recharge themselves ready to lead groups around the city. Especially in the winter months for tour guides having a local cafe to warm up in and to send our frozen guests is a real necessity.
Crumble Cake Cafe has a house signature cake, pear cake, plum and chocolate, cherry chocolate, lemon cheese cake, raspberry cheese, blueberry cheese cake, just to name what I see today as I write this article. There is without question something for everyone here in this cafe. The crumble topped cakes will be served heated which is a great tip during the colder months to warm up and get your sugar hit!
The friendly staff add to the pleasent atmosphere of a well decorated interior providing many smaller tables perfect for individuals and couples. Perfect to have a space to yourselves for small groups but be warned this famous little cafe gets very busy and you may find that larger groups can be hard to squeeze in.
During summer months the terrace allows for people to spill out onto the streets to enjoy some of the more adult drinks on offer, whilst watching the folk of Riga roll on by as they go about on their day to day lives.
It is clear that Crumble cake cafe has been created with love and passion. The team are always there to explain the choices on offer and to try and make your visit enjoyable. We really appreciate the effort that goes into the service and the proof is the cake... pudding as many of our guests who visit the shop before we recommend tell us how nice their experience was here. Good news to our ears.
